Perhaps your story is filtered through the lens of depression, anxiety, trauma or substance dependence.  Marie Francis will listen, and remain attentive to, and curious about the intricacies of your story. She will provide an atmosphere of safety without judgment so that enlightenment, healing and growth can take place. Using various evidence based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy and Trauma-informed methodologies, she assists couples, families and individuals enhance and maintain rewarding relationships and manage life transitions.

Life Transitions

Our lives are constantly changing. We can depend on it. Has your family or household configuration changed lately?  Have you experienced a recent relationship break-up?  Is there a new child or grandchild? Daughter- or son-in-law? Parent-in-law?   Are you in a new marriage or relationship?  Are your aging parents living with you? Have your adult children returned home?  Is your nest suddenly empty? Have you recently moved to a new community, or new job?  Are you experiencing current or delayed sadness due to grief and loss?  Ms. Francis uses her life experience, in addition to her professional experience to assist clients navigate through these transitional life-changing events.  

There extreme social, personal and environmental conditions that are currently creating enormous stress on relationships and family life.  Let's focus on addressing and developing coping strategies for these and other mental health issues, such as heightened anxiety, depression and bereavement.    

Military and Family Life Counseling

Military culture brings extraordinary challenges to marriage, relationship and family life.  Ms. Francis is familiar with and uniquely trained to serve this community in a confidential and safe setting.
